The Lobos shutout the University of Evansville 2-0 Friday, then lost to Oakland University 1-0 Sunday, extending their five game road trip. UNM has had three games postponed, including two home games.

Junior midfielder Marc Laws started the scoring for the Lobos against Evansville when he squirted through the defense and connected from eight yards out in the 42nd minute.

Although the Lobos were outshot 17-8, the defense and goalkeeper Andrew Weber played strong. Weber posted his first shutout of the season.

UNM put the game away in the 78th minute when senior forward Ty Hibbert scored from 19 yards out on a free kick.

Sunday, the Lobo offense stalled in getting shutout by Oakland.

The Lobos could only get off five shots on goal, but played tough defense to stay in the game.

However, Oakland forward Philip Braathen scored the winning goal with just two minutes remaining in regulation. The loss dropped UNM to 2-2-1.

Senior Jovan Batiste, junior Stein Eriksen and sophomore William Junot were named to the all-tournament team for the Lobos.
