Senior field goal kicker Vladimir Borombozin of the football team and setter Kelly Griffin of the volleyball team are the New Mexico Daily Lobo Athletes of the Week.
Griffin, a junior, recorded her second career triple-double, helping the Lobos to a five game victory against the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Saturday. She had an outstanding game contributing 10 kills, 63 assists and 18 digs. The assists and digs are a career-high for Griffin.
Borombozin kicked two field goals and accounted for eight points in the Lobos 20-15 victory against San Diego State University on the road Saturday. He connected on two 37-yard field goals and added two extra points. He has made 14 consecutive field goals, dating back to last year.
