Freshman point guard Mandi Moore of the UNM women's basketball team and the men's tennis team are the New Mexico Daily Lobo Athletes of the Week.
Moore was an integral part of the Lobos' success this weekend, helping the team post two impressive wins at home. Moore combined to score 32 points in wins over Brigham Young University and the University of Utah. She scored 12 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds against BYU and then followed that performance by scoring a career-high 20 points and dishing out six assists against Utah.
The men's tennis team opened the spring season in dominating fashion, shutting out Northern Arizona University 7-0 at the Lobo Tennis Complex. The Lobos won all six singles matches, losing only one set in the process. UNM also won all three doubles matches to earn the one point.
