The UNM football team will participate in the annual Cherry-Silver game today at University Stadium at 6 p.m.

The game was originally set to take place Saturday, but was moved because of anticipated bad weather.

The UNM softball team will face Texas Tech University in a doubleheader Tuesday at Lobo Field.

The Lobos (4-7-1) will try to swing out of their offensive slump against the Red Raiders (8-14), who are giving up 6.02 runs a game.

The UNM swimming and diving team finished in sixth place in the Mountain West Conference Championships this weekend.

Although the Lobos took sixth, they did set five school records in the championships. UNM set records in the 200-meter individual medley, 200 and 400-meter freestyle relays, 200-meter freestyle and the 800-meter free relay. Brigham Young University took first place.

The UNM women's tennis team went 2-1 in the Las Vegas Invitational this weekend in Nevada.

The Lobos opened the tournament by losing to 49th-ranked University of Tulsa 5-2 Friday, but UNM (6-7) responded by winning its next two matches. The Lobos beat the University of California at Santa Barbara 5-2 Saturday and followed that up by ousting Boston College 4-2 Sunday.

The Lobos next match is March 17 in Las Cruces against New Mexico State University.

The UNM baseball team will play one game today against intra-state rival New Mexico State University at Lobo Field.

The Lobos (6-11) were scheduled to play a three-game series versus the Aggies this weekend, but they were canceled due to anticipated bad weather.

The game is at 1 p.m.
