The UNM men's tennis team will be looking to start Mountain West Conference play on the right track this weekend when the Lobos travel to Las Vegas, Nev., to take on two opponents.

UNM (10-6) will face two highly ranked teams in 30th-ranked San Diego State University today and 38th-ranked University of Nevada at Las Vegas Saturday. San Diego State (8-7) is the defending conference champion and already owns a 5-2 defeat over the Lobos this year. UNLV (7-7) has been dominant at home with six wins and only two losses.

The UNM women's tennis team head to Salt lake City, Utah, this weekend to open Mountain West Conference play against the University of Utah and Brigham Young University.

The 52nd-ranked Lobos (7-7) are coming off an impressive victory over 39th-ranked Boise State. UNM faces Utah (7-9) today and 38th-ranked BYU (6-11) Saturday.

The UNM track and field team will look to continue its success when the Lobos travel to El Paso, Texas, to compete in the University of Texas at El Paso Springtime Invitational.

UNM won 10 meets last weekend at home and will try to continue that momentum in the team's first scoring outdoor meet of the season. The Lobos will be facing some stiff competition with teams such as defending Mountain West Conference men's and women's outdoor champion Brigham Young University.
