Freshman Hank Baskett III of the men's track and field team and sophomore Hayley Punter of the women's softball team are the New Mexico Daily Lobo Athletes of the Week.
Baskett, who was a redshirt this season for the football team, won the high jump at the University of Texas at El Paso Twilight Invitational Saturday.
He cleared a season-best height of 6-feet, 10.25-inches for his second victory in three meets this spring.
Punter went 2-1 this weekend and recorded one save in four games this weekend to help the Lobos win three of four games.
She won both games Saturday against Brigham Young University, earning UNM's first doubleheader conference sweep of the season. She pitched nine innings, allowing four runs on nine hits to get the victories.
