The UNM men's and women's basketball teams broke the seal on the 2002-2003 season Saturday night at the annual Lobo Howl at University Arena.
The men participated in
a slam dunk contest while the women had a three-point shooting contest. Both teams also held scrimmages.
The men open the season with an exhibition Nov. 1 against the EA Sports All-stars. The women open Nov. 16 with an exhibition against Houston Flight.
