Joining the Lobos are 6-foot-1-inch outside hitter Jennifer Heasty from Westminster, Colo., 6-foot-2-inch middle hitter Megan Morris from Los Fresnos, Texas and 5-foot-9-inch setter Lindsay Smith from Bakersfield, Calif.

The signings complete the roster for next year's team. Sliva has already announced five other 2002 fall signees that will join the team next year.

Cheerleading

Try-outs for UNM cheerleader positions start tomorrow at 9 a.m. in the gymnastics room, at the south end of The Pit.

Coaches Brian and Tracy Denton are looking to fill the 20 spots on the all-girl squad and 20 positions for the co-ed team.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The auditions continue through the afternoon and will include a mid-day break. Both men and women are encouraged to attend.

The coaches said that they do not have a set number of athletes that they will take.

"Sometimes the 21st person is really good," Tracy Denton said.

Vogt is a 6-foot-1-inch guard who graduated from Sandia High School. She transferred to UNM from Fort Lewis College in Colorado this season.
