This week's New Mexico Daily Lobo Athletes of the Week are sophomore Chelsea Sondrup of the volleyball team and sophomore Lance Watson of the men's soccer team.
Sondrup was named MVP of the Comcast Lobo Invitational and helped lead the Lobos to an undefeated, first place finish at the tournament. Sondrup pounded out 25 kills and had seven block assists this weekend.
Watson was named offensive MVP of the TLC Plumbing and Utilities Invitational. He converted a penalty kick Friday for the game-winning goal over IUPUI, his second game-winning shot of the season. Watson also scored against the University of Cincinnati Sunday afternoon.
