'Kill Bill' soundtrack has music to die for

Grade: B

You never know what you're going to get when a star of the silver screen takes a stab at singing.

Uma Thurman not only stars in "Kill Bill Vol. 2" but makes the soundtrack an extremely sensual and catchy listen. Of course, she's not alone in the effort.

Shvaree sings her heart out in "Good Bye Moon" in a mysteriously sexy kind of way that makes it seem as if this song was written especially for a Quentin Tarantino film.

Charlie Feathers' "Can't Hardly Stand It" is another gem on the compilation as his twangyness is irresistible as usual. Feathers also graced the "Kill Bill Vol. 1" soundtrack.

What would a Tarantino film soundtrack be without some Flamenco? Lole Y Manuel's "Tu Mira" is a treat for anyone who has never heard the group's innovative flamenco sound. Chingon adds even more Latin flavor to the album with "Malaguena Salerosa," which would make even the worst dancer feel like doing a little tango.

Throw in a little Johnny Cash, some Malcolm McLaren with The Zombies remake of "She's Not There" some more Uma, and you've got a good two hours of musical fun.
