Members of Funeral for a Friend may have performed in front of a packed Journal Pavilion on Tuesday, but all they could talk about was the weather.
The band from Wales was one of many performers to take the stage at the Projekt Revolution Tour, which included Ghostface, Korn, Snoop Dogg, Less Than Jake and founders Linkin Park.
"This is the most surreal show I have ever played in my life," said vocalist Matt Davies, referring to the weather.
During the performance, wind knocked over signs and kicked banners around the stage. Guitarist Kris Roberts added Albuquerque to his most memorable tour spots.
"We played and we had all that (expletive) sand and extreme wind," he said. "In the U.K., it rains a lot and gets reasonably windy now and again."
It wasn't the large crowd or the intensity of the show that amazed Roberts.

"Out here the weather is so temperamental," he said. "One moment it's fine, and then it's boiling. It's just like, 'Whoa, this is a hot day.' The next thing you know, it's pissing down with rain."
Roberts mistook the intense dust devil that developed during the band's performance for a tornado.
"I thought that there was going to be one today after that thing had started," he said.
The bands recently released Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation on Ferret Records. In March the band's management approached it with the idea of touring with this year's Revolution tour.
When Linkin Park created Projekt Revolution, the band hoped to combine a wide range of bands that would introduce fans to genres they wouldn't typically listen to. This year's eclectic group combined metal, emo, rock and rap.
A highlight was the performance by rapper Snoop Dogg, who also packed the Sunshine Theater for an after party.
The tour went through Phoenix last night and will finish Sunday in California.
