The 19th-ranked Lobo men's soccer team shellacked the Loyola Marymount Lions 3-0 on Friday.
The Lobos start the season with three consecutive wins for the second time in three years and the sixth time in school history.
Freshman Blake Danaher recorded his first goal of the season in the 32nd minute. Danaher scored the unassisted goal after beating his defender one on one.
The Lobos got on the board again right after intermission in the 53rd minute. Junior Lance Watson scored the 12th goal of his career at UNM and his first of the season after hooking up with Danaher and senior Patrick Grange.
The Lions really had the wind taken out of their sails when junior Jeff Rowland smoothly headed in a cross set up by senior Hans Bevers and junior Erik Bagwell. Rowland, fresh off his National Player of the Week award, scored five goals last weekend to bring his total to six after three games.
