Editor,
I wrote a letter expressing my concerns about the decision regarding Richard Berthold to Provost Dasenbrock, and his reply simply told me that Berthold knows why he is not getting hired.
Basically, in a polished way, he was telling me to piss off.
I want to openly challenge Provost Dasenbrock to provide a concise explanation to the taxpayers and students the reasons behind his decision.ˇAfter all, the taxpayers pay his salary, so I do not think it is fair for him to hide behind a veil of secrecy. The matter is not one pertaining to a private enterprise, nor is there any national security information at risk that must remain hidden from public auspices.ˇ
If the public cannot get an explanation, then they should at least be entitled to recover their share of tax monies that go to support the University.ˇIf UNM's administration is not being forthcoming here, what else are they not being truthful about?
