I wish to respond to the letter on the United Way printed in Wednesday's Daily Lobo.
"Because of you, my brothers and I ate this weekend."
"Because of you, I escaped from a life of domestic violence."
"Because of you, I have the chance to see my son become the man I always knew he could be."
These are the voices of our families, friends and neighbors who have been served and assisted by the generosity of University faculty and staff who contributed to the United Way campaign. We may never know the names of people we help, but we do have their eternal gratitude.

Our annual United Way campaign is an integral part of our commitment to the community that has always supported the University when we have asked for its support.
