Editor,
I ask my fellow students and Americans that we all take the time to thank those who have served in the nation's military this Veterans Day.
Walk up to a veteran and say thank you. By saying thank you, we acknowledge that this life we lead and the freedoms we enjoy did not come cheaply or easily. Extend a hand and let them know how much the sacrifices they have made are appreciated.
After all, every American should be thankful for his or her freedom, and the veterans who have and are giving the ultimate sacrifice for the precious freedom we are enjoying. Honor them, and thank God for their dedication and courage to protect our beloved country. Our freedom is not a gift from God, but is hard won with the help of God.
All gave some and some gave all. Pray for our veterans, our troops and our country.
