Editor,
The only effective place to begin solving a problem is at the beginning, and such a beginning can only be found by observing what is really going on, devoid of all assumptions and opinions about what is really going on.
One way this idea could be expressed is becoming the witness. When one is being an effective witness, one observes and accepts what one sees without any evaluation of what is seen.
Once one begins to truly witness what is going on, the path to the solution of a problem has begun. A wise person once said that a problem fully identified is a problem at least half solved. Only when what is going on is accurately observed can a problem be fully identified, and once a problem is fully identified, the path to be taken to solve it is almost always clearly apparent.
What relevance does this have to the present world situation? Everything.
As an effective witness, I am observing that the current administration in the United States has personal reasons for the decisions it makes, and that those personal reasons are detrimental to the principles written into the Constitution and the Bill of Rights by the founding fathers of the United States. That is a problem fully identified.

If we, the citizens of the United States, allow the principles written into the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to be trashed and replaced by other principles that benefit only a few people instead of all of us, the United States - as it was envisioned by its founding fathers - will no longer exist. It seems to me that the path to be taken to solve this problem is clearly visible.
It appears to be up to you and me. The founding fathers of this country strove, mightily, to set in place checks and balances to prevent any one or any group of people from gaining enough authority to force through legislation that benefits only themselves at the expense of the citizens of the country.
Despite all their efforts, we have found out that there is a way for that to happen. Isn't it time for the citizens of this great country - you and me - to wake up and take action to prevent the administration from doing any more damage to the principles on which this country was founded?
If it takes impeachment to stop the erosion of our freedom, so be it.
