This is in response to Louis Schiffman's letter to the editor in Friday's issue of the Daily Lobo.
Yes, free money from the Lottery Success Scholarship does help us get through school, and, as a student who uses the Lottery Scholarship money to basically pay for school, I know how it helps.
But the scholarship itself is stagnant, and doesn't increase with the increases in tuition, and when it does increase, it's not as much as the increase in tuition.
So I also have to rely on federal Pell Grants, two jobs and other sources of income to pay for my education.
Yes, the Lottery Success Scholarship helps - but no, it does not pay for everything.
