This Saturday is Veterans Day. It's our chance to pay tribute to the men and women who served and are serving our country. Take time to remember those who gave up part or all of their lives to serve freedom, whether domestic or abroad, peacetime or wartime.
There are many reasons to thank our veterans on Veterans Day. The most important is that they fought and risked their lives for us. They are very special people. We honor their names. We honor their sacrifice. We honor those who gave themselves for us all. We honor all those who served.
I want to thank each and every one of you for what you have done for our country and what you continue to do for our great nation, either as a past, present or future military member. I pray for the safe return of all our soldiers, sailors and airmen, and that the citizens of this fine nation remember the troops that serve and follow orders.
It is also a time to remember the families left behind and the hardship that causes for them. As the saying goes, all gave some; some gave all.
