Editor,
As a member of two GPSA regent selection committees - in 2002 and 2004 - I take great umbrage at the content of Diane Albert's letter in Monday's Daily Lobo for this simple fact: The selection committee never selected Rosalyn Nguyen as one of the candidates whose name was forwarded to former UNM President Louis Caldera for consideration.
Caldera forwarded her name to Gov. Bill Richardson without our support. The fact of the matter is, there were three graduate and professional students the GPSA regent selection committee determined were qualified candidates to represent all UNM students and their interests. Nguyen was not one of them.
