SUB should not play host to loud daytime concerts

The SUB should not be used as a concert hall. On Friday, a co-worker and I were enjoying a nice lunch in the SUB when our conversation was muted by the deafening sound of a marching band. Thankfully, the band played for only about five minutes. But during those five minutes, I noticed people having to yell at the food vendors just to have their orders heard.

This isn't the first time the patrons of the SUB have been subjected to overbearingly loud music. Last year, I experienced the same thing when there was a mariachi festival.

I do enjoy musical performances, but when you can't hear the sound of your own voice, it gets annoying very quickly. I just want to send a message to any future musical performers: Please be respectful of the 90 percent of the people in the SUB who didn't come there to hear your music.
