Editor,
In response to several liberal opinions on homosexuality, I take a different approach. Many supporters point to the notion that couples who engage in homosexual relationships are consenting, loving couples. The supporters contend that discrimination against this group is on the same level as discrimination during the Civil Rights era.
This, however, is a horrible premise for their arguments. If homosexual couples are allowed to use the "fair and equality" argument, what will prevent other immoral groups from engaging in immoral behavior?
Surely, polygamists will argue that their practice is of a loving
nature between consenting individuals. What about incest, pedophilia, statutory rape, transgender and bestiality cases? Can they argue the same premise as the homosexual constituency?
According to the supporters of homosexuality, we cannot discriminate against these individuals either. The point when we cave in to immorality is when this world ceases to exist. God has a purpose for us, and that is why he created us the way he did. Homosexuality is frowned upon by God, and God is very explicit in his views in various excerpts in the Old and New testaments of the Bible. Is it a coincidence the spread of AIDS is insurmountable? Is it a coincidence San Francisco has significant earthquake tendencies? Is it really that hard to rationalize the destruction wrought by Hurricane Katrina? Lastly, let us not forget about the most horrific tragedy in New York.

All these devastations signal a message from a higher being. One of my favorite scriptures in the Bible is found in Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." The fact that there is no cure for AIDS confirms my trust in God and his promise to fulfill
his word.
I encourage all individuals who engage in this immoral activity to change their lifestyle. Christianity does not attack the individual - it attacks the sin itself. Your sin does not have to be permanent. Our God is a forgiving God, and there is still time for you to be a follower of God.
