Editor,
Just recently, two friends and I were about to lift weights at Johnson Gym between classes when suddenly we were booted out because a class was in session. I understand that there are weight-lifting classes, but it's not like we were interrupting a lecture or study session. We pay our tuition like everyone else. Shouldn't we be able to use the facilities meant for students? I'm sure we aren't the first ones this happened to, and I'm sure we won't be the last.
I've been working out since eighth grade, and I don't need to be supervised or babysat.
There are about 25 students in that class and a lot of open machines. I'm sure others wouldn't interrupt their workout or class.
