Editor,
After reading both representative Erin McSherry's official complaint and the response given by former elections chairwoman Michelle Touson last week, we believe the Daily Lobo stories regarding recent GPSA controversies have failed to present an accurate picture of the conflict.
We even question whether the reporter writing the story printed on the front page of Tuesday's paper fully read the documents.
The complaint and response are a source of the conflict that Touson alleges is personal. If you want to offer our community fair and balanced information, let the complaint and response speak for themselves.
McSherry and Touson are, respectively, elected and appointed student representatives. They each wrote these documents in their official capacities and the students deserve a chance to judge those words for themselves.
We suggest you print McSherry's complaint and Touson's response so your readers can judge the situation themselves without the spin and mischaracterization offered by the parties speaking to reporters after the fact.

We are saddened that the Daily Lobo would allow this paper to become a public relations tool rather than protecting it as a source of accuracy and transparency.
