Editor,
As a student and an employee of Aramark at La Posada, it is interesting to me how vitriolic some people can become when the subject is their belly.
First, facts, my fellow students. After all, that is why we are here, is it not, to be buried under all the tired old facts that keep this white man's institution afloat?
Sonic is the one food concession that has no connection to Aramark. So, if your hamburgers taste the same from there or another source on campus, perhaps it is because, like many other large food-service providers, they buy from the same wholesale vendor.
Now that Aramark's contract might not be renewed, you might be interested to learn that the "world's largest food-service provider" and a wholly owned British corporation - Compass Group and its subsidiary, Chartwell - might be feeding you. One will be interested in seeing how much local business they do.
As for the fact that Aramark is feeding prisoners, would you suggest that they not be fed? Check what the state government allocates to feed its prisoner population.

Having been a consumer of institutional food since I was 13, when I entered seminary, I can assure you that you are being fed well. If you think otherwise, then maybe you can have mummy have your meals sent from home every day, so that her spoiled little darling won't feel unloved or underfed.
My first professor at this fine institution told a starry-eyed student, "This is now and always will be a white man's institution run by and for the benefit of the same." I would think anything to the contrary is merely window dressing.
You might do a little investigating to find out exactly why the University itself might stop running the food service. I'm sure the story will be an interesting one. Whether it will be the truth is another story.
Bon appétit.
