Editor,
Rose-colored lenses allow Santhosh Chandrashekar to see a fantasy world where Sen. Barack Obama is the savior.
Some facts rather than fantasy: Obama's demonstration of racial healing is attacking his white grandmother who raised him for words he claims she used 25 years ago. Such love and tolerance for a white woman who sacrificed for him.
His pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, is a hater. Obama denigrates the white middle class, as he just did in San Francisco. Isn't voting for Obama because he is partially African-American just as racist as voting against him for that reason?
The African-American middle class is enjoying growth because it has intact families and values education. Its incomes are compatible to those of whites doing the same work.
More minorities own homes and their own businesses than at any time in history.

The institutional racism alleged by Chandrashekar is largely in his jaundiced view. It is the single moms, drug users and school dropouts who are poor because they make poor choices, color notwithstanding.
The ultra-liberal view espoused by Obama, Sen. Hillary Clinton and their followers is take money from workers and those who grow job-producing companies and give it to dysfunctional people with no demand to change.
On the contrary, the Libertarian and Republican idea is to offer education and opportunity, expecting that people will take advantage and enjoy the fruit of their good decisions.
For the foolish, help should be given for a short time while demanding a change of behavior. Life-time dependency or independence - that is the difference between the Democratic candidates and Sen. John McCain.
The Falklands War was started by Argentina. U.K. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher responded properly after the Argentine government refused her request to leave those British islands.
Thatcher demonstrated what it meant to be a strong leader, to not yield to the quislings.
What would Obama do based on his stated positions? Sad but true, some evil is only ended by war.
Adolf Hitler would still be gassing Jews, and his black-shirt minions would still be using concentration camp captives as sex slaves if it were not for the soldiers.
The murderers and rapists of Sudan do their evil because the world will not send military assistance to stop them.
Tibetans have been a conquered, enslaved people for 58 years because the Chinese army rules. Signs and protests will not change these situations - only soldiers and courageous leaders will.
None of Obama's vague promises on education, health care, job growth and social security are realistic. Without the Iraq War spending, we cannot fund any one change as he suggests - the problems are too great.
History teaches that when taxes reach a certain level, the wealthy move their tax return to a more favorable environment - rich people are smarter than pandering politicians.
If we elect a man because he is African-American, and he fails to deliver but creates great social and economic pain, what effect will it have when we have a man of solid ideas such as Thomas Sowell or a woman as honest as Condoleezza Rice running for the president's post?
