28 arrested in Santa Fe fugitive roundup
SANTA FE (AP) - New Mexican law enforcement agencies arrested 28 people during an effort to round up 200 fugitives with outstanding warrants in Santa Fe County, authorities said. Most of the arrests Saturday involved felonies and cases related to narcotics trafficking.
Three die in medical helicopter crash
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Officials say a medical helicopter crashed after take-off and three crew members aboard are dead. A hospital spokesman said the University of Wisconsin Hospital Med Flight helicopter was returning to Madison when it crashed Saturday night.
Turkey strikes Kurdish rebel positions
ANKARA, Turkey (AP) - Turkey's military says warplanes and artillery have hit Kurdish rebel positions in northern Iraq. The military says targets in Saturday's raids included an area just across the border where rebels have allegedly gathered after attacking a military outpost in Turkey.
