The UNM football team mauled San Diego State on Saturday at University Stadium.
In a lopsided affair, UNM obliterated the Aztecs 70-7.
Head coach Rocky Long said he couldn't remember ever winning by such a large margin.
"The game got out of hand," he said. "We got some big plays and breaks early. You like winning, but I have sympathy for the other side."
Maybe for SDSU, what happens in Albuquerque should stay in Albuquerque.
Before the half, the Aztecs were already praying the Hail Mary, lobbing up a bomb just before the second quarter expired.

But SDSU had no chance.
At the other end, however, the Lobos looked like magicians. And at halftime, the magic number was 49-0 Lobos.
With 12:46 remaining in the first quarter, freshman quarterback Brad Gruner scampered for a 20-yard rushing touchdown to put the Lobos up 7-0.
The score was the first offensive opening drive touchdown by UNM all season.
Nearly two minutes later, the Lobos struck again with tailback Rodney Ferguson's first touchdown of the game to put UNM up 14-0.
Ferguson went on to tie his career high with four rushing touchdowns coming off 25 carries for 149 yards.
"It is an achievement for me," Ferguson said. "I could've broke it, but things happen for a reason. I am just glad we got a win today and that other running backs and fullbacks scored."
Ferguson had three rushing touchdowns by the end of the first half.
Gruner would cap the scoring fiesta with a 13-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-one with 5:20 to go in the first half.
A fumble recovery for a touchdown by defensive end Jaymar Latchison made it 28-0 with 8:07 left in the second quarter.
Latchison said he's seen that game situation numerous times in practice.
"We practice fumble recoveries so many times leading up to games," Latchison said. "When it came, it paid off. I didn't think twice about it. Find the ball, scoop and run."
The fumble return was Latchison's first career touchdown.
With less than 30 seconds to go in the first half, Gruner threw his second touchdown pass of the season, a 19-yarder to tight end Chris Mark.
In the second half, Ferguson bulldozed his way to his fourth and final touchdown off a 35-yard run.
Halfway through the third quarter, most of UNM's starters sat on the bench, and by quarter's end, SDSU had salvaged its only score of the game.
Aztec quarterback Ryan Lindley hit wide receiver Darren Mougey on a 15-yard touchdown pass to end the third quarter at 56-7.
In the fourth quarter, senior fullback Matt Quillen scored his first career touchdown off a 4-yard run.
"I was excited to get the ball. The coaches don't call my number a lot, so it's always nice to share the spotlight with the likes of Rodney and Paul," Quillen said.
The magic didn't stop there.
Sophomore tailback Terence Brown got in on the fun, too. On his second career carry, Brown danced along the SDSU sideline for a 37-yard score, putting the finishing touches on a 70-7 rout.
The Lobos finished the day with 565 total yards, including 419 rushing yards and 149 passing yards.
"I think that we were able to move the ball," Long said. "The defense did a nice job and gave the offense a short field several times. They responded and put it in the end zone. We have had trouble doing that all year until now."
