Daily Lobo: So are you excited to graduate?
Darren White: Yes I’m very excited.
DL: Do you know what you’re going to do after graduation?
DW: I’m going to backpack Europe for as long as I can and then I’m going to take my LSATs before I go and when I come back I want to apply to law school.
DL: Do you know what law school you want to get into?
DW: Somewhere in the Southwest, UNM is still a possibility.
DL: What made you want to practice law?
DW: My father’s in politics and I’ve kind of been around politics my whole life so it has always interested me. I guess I just don’t want to quit being a student, it’s too much fun.
DL: What do you think you’re going to do when you backpack through Europe?
DW: Just see the world, get a different view, different cultures. I’ve been out there once before but I was too young to really appreciate it. So I hope now I can go back and get back to my roots, my European roots.
DL: Did you watch the Grammys last night?
DW: No I did not, no.
DL: What did you do instead?
DW: Last night I watched Lost on Netflix. I’d never seen an episode so I watched it last night for the first time.
DL: What is your favorite show?
DW: My favorite show… Arrested Development.
DL: Is that still on TV?
DW: No, it’s not. But I’m also an avid Simpsons fan. I have every season that you can purchase.
DL: What else do you like to do in your free time?
DW: I love to snowboard. I was a snowboard instructor for a while at Sandia during winter break. I’ve been up to Telluride, last year I went to Vancouver for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Yeah, I love to snowboard.
