Monday on the Street: What would you change about UNM?

If you could change one thing about UNM what would that be?

Ala Benson, freshman, media arts

“Let dogs in all the buildings. Dogs all the time, everywhere.”

Nathan Olona, freshman, mathematics

“So far I’m liking it a lot, honestly. There’s a lot more resources here than at my old college, because I’m a transfer from Tech. There’s just a lot more resources and help everywhere. It’s not really that hard to find."

Alfonso Vargas Jr., freshman, electrical engineering

“Better Wi-Fi signal. I can never connect to the Wi-Fi; I spent like 10 or 15 minutes today just trying to get my laptop to properly connect. I’m taking this online course, which is a bad idea, but it always takes me too long to connect to the Wi-Fi.”

Shani Harvie, sophomore, business administration

“I feel like there needs to be more funding going to something other than sports maybe, because I feel like we put a lot of our funding there. I think we need to like update some spots on campus. I feel like they are not getting the attention that they deserve or the resources that they need inside the buildings.”
