Monday on the Street: Getting through the final weeks of the semester

How do you push through the last few weeks, and the heavy workload before winter break?

Timothy Richey, junior, nursing

“I study my brains out. It’s hard because you’ve got Thanksgiving break coming up, so you want to take that time off. I put things aside, things I normally would do to relieve stress and stuff like that, I’m not going to do. Power through, three weeks left.”

Mara Marquez, sophomore, architecture

“Honestly, just knowing that it’s going to end. It’s going to be over soon, it will be worth it. ”

Justin Mulligan, senior, mechanical engineering

“Usually, I actually focus on waking up in the morning, doing all my work and working hard at school, then actually resting through the night. So, not staying up until 4:00 a.m. studying because that actually makes me do worse.”

Lauren Sarkissian, freshman, biology

“You know, everything is a balance. Making sure I am really disciplined with myself and not messing around, getting the sleep I need and eating right, because those things are just important. Getting in that right mindset to knowing that we’re almost done and this is like the final climb. You just have to work a little bit harder and it pays off.”
