The University of New Mexico Lobos added another signal caller to the quarterback room this spring after landing 2027 3-star Bradley Cassier out of St. Monica Catholic High School in Santa Monica, California.
At 6-foot-4-inches and 200 lbs, Cassier is listed as the 101st overall quarterback recruit in the nation and the 173rd overall player in the state of California, according to Profile Recruiting player rankings.
Cassier chose the Lobos amid offers from schools such as Arizona State University, Washington State University, Colorado State University, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Boston College.
In 10 total starts, Cassier threw for 2,842 yards, 30 touchdowns and logged a 128.0 QB rating during his junior season.
“I am blessed to say that I have officially committed to the University of New Mexico, thank you to my Mom and Dad and everyone who has been there for me on this journey,”
Cassier wrote wrote on X. “I would also like to thank Coach Barnes and everyone at Saint Monica for their support. Also a huge thanks to Coach Eck, Coach Slice, and all of the coaches at New Mexico for giving me this opportunity.”
On the defensive side of the ball, the Lobos landed 2027 3-star cornerback Bryson Fleming out of North Forney High School in Forney, Texas.
Listed at 6-feet tall and 170 lbs, Fleming is ranked as the 158th overall cornerback recruit in the nation and the 207th overall player in the state of Texas, according to Profile Recruiting.
Fleming turned down 21 different offers from schools including Pittsburgh, Tulsa, San Diego State, Colorado State and Memphis to call himself a Lobo.
“What made me commit to the Lobos was the great coaching staff,” Fleming told the Mountain West Connection. “I loved the way they coach and the culture they have built for the team. It was a good fit for me because they value me being able to play every position on the back end of their defense.”
During 10 starts in his junior season, Fleming logged 45 total tackles and 5 pass deflections. Fleming’s lack of ball production can be attributed to his sticky coverage ability.
Cassier and Fleming become the second and third recruits to commit to UNM for 2027, alongside 3-star safety Tayven Collins from Puyallup High School in Puyallup, Washington.
