Where there’s a victor, there’s a loser, and sometimes, certain athletes contribute to their team’s shortcomings. These athletes are favorably called bobbleheads.
Denver Broncos - Quarterback Bo Nix
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix had a less-than-ideal start to his 2026 season. On Monday, Sept. 14, Nix and the Broncos got steamrolled by the Kansas City Chiefs, falling 31-10 at Arrowhead Stadium.
While the Broncos’ defense was shockingly underwhelming, Nix did not do the team any favors, throwing for a measly 131 yards and a touchdown through the air while getting picked off in the process.
Outside of his stats, Nix and the offense could not get into a groove — as the leader of the offense, it was up to Nix to rally the sputtering offense, and he could not.
Detroit Lions - Defense
If the Broncos’ defense was underwhelming this week, then the Lions’ would be labeled as horrendous. The Lions kicked off Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday and their defense got shredded to pieces.
Josh Allen made the Lions’ defense look silly all night long. Detroit would be cut some slack if it was not for their Week 1 performance, where they gave up 30 points to Tyler Shough and the Saints.
There is a good chance this defense will be a reoccurring star on Bobbleheads.
LSU - Head Coach Lane Kiffin
During last year’s College Football postseason, Lane Kiffin made the decision to leave Ole Miss and become the head coach of the rival LSU TIgers before the Rebels’ playoff run had even begun. That decision may be one he is regretting after what unfolded this weekend.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, Kiffin and LSU made the trip north to Oxford, Miss. to face off against his old team, and the reception from the Rebels fans for Kiffin set the tone immediately. What followed was Ole Miss playing with what can only be described as a passionate hatred, as Ole Miss outplayed their former head coach for a 32-24 win.

Kiffin is a bobblehead for the sole reason he got beat by a team that he built.
