High winds damaged the fabric on the indoor practice facility on UNM south campus Thursday, UNM Athletics spokesman Frank Mercogliano said. Mercogliano said it was not safe to assess the damage to the building on Thursday night and that the facility had been closed since 10 a.m. on Thursday morning due to the forecasted high winds. Throughout the day winds gusted at 60 to 75 mph, according to the Weather Channel.
