It’s time to break out the summer attire. How are those shorts fitting? How are you looking in that bikini? Are you dismayed by an extra bulge or three? Feeling the need to slim down? It’s a common sentiment this time of year. Winter flab is so out of season. You will look and feel better if you can get your weight down into a normal range.
Just today, as I was preparing to laze about in the single weekend reprieve before studying for finals became important, I noticed a moth banging itself into my lamp until it was a senseless pulp.
Don’t subject allergic roommate to puppy
On April 18, UNM Provost Chaouki Abdallah sent students an email that contained a link to a newly released report sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations. The report, U.S. Education Reform and National Security, is the work of an independent task force chaired by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former New York City Department of Education Chancellor Joel Klein.

Dear Dr. Peg,
Last week, I noticed a letter in the Lobo criticizing the editor-in-chief of this paper for expressing his opinions. I would like to respond. Not to the letter, but to a general trend I see in criticizing newspapers for expressing opinions. As I do nothing for this paper except express my opinions, I thought I should inform you of my opinion on this.
I walked past the duck pond the other day where I saw a guy push over a table that had just been set up then continue on his way. I picked up the table and scurried to catch up with him, heart racing with irritation. I spun him around as authoritatively as I could and asked him why he knocked down the table.
Befriend more Lobos to fully experience UNM
Isn’t the sun lovely? Don’t you want to just go bask in it? Strip down and soak it up? Tempting, isn’t it? In fact, I can see some of you right now. There’s a guy playing Frisbee, his fish-belly pale chest flashing in the sun. There’s a gal lying on a towel with her bare back slowly turning pink like a lobster on the boil.
I am disturbed at the amount of offline learning going on in a supposedly modern school such as UNM. None of my history or English classes feature online course work. Sure they may have online supplementary material occasionally, but that is nothing compared to the trailblazing language classes. Having had classes with both online and offline content, I can say the classes with online content are better in every way.
