Women and homosexuals still discrimination targets

Editor,

Between the Sigma Chi incident and the Grammy Awards incident, some major shifts have been made in the area of political correctness. As a public service to the liberal clowns on my left and the conservative jokers on my right, lets look at what we’ve learned this week.

First of all, African-Americans have made major gains in our society, and are now completely off limits, when it comes to discrimination. They have the “N-word.”

Gays and lesbian, however, still have a ways to go. For example, how many major artists would have defended Eminem had he used the “N-word” nine times on his album? But the “F-word” — faggot — is protected by free speech.

Notice that UNM never suspended Sigma Chi’s charter when it had its women’s anatomy art show a while back. I suppose that was free-speech expression as well.

So to recap, if you plan on spewing any venomous, discriminatory expression, outside the safety of your fraternity or sorority house, please limit the subject to women, homosexuals, and, of course, the group that will still be there when all your other rights have been taken away — the obese.
