Lobo funding cut highlights the Senate's inexperience

Editor,

It is no surprise that the current ASUNM Senate is trying to cut the funding of the only real source of free speech on this campus and in this college community.

The current Senate is comprised mostly of spoiled brats whose capitalist fathers taught them well. Our campus is under siege by these close-minded, selfish, wanna-be Reaganites who cannot look beyond their own biases to realize that this campus is very diverse and has no room for their brainwashed ideals.

The panel in charge of the Senate is high on being popular and does not have the experience in life necessary to control the amounts of funding that exist within the ASUNM budget.

All that can be said is that it is unfortunate that the capitalist close-mindedness has finally invaded this school of higher learning.

On this campus, we should all have the right to learn and experience all that is offered here. The inability of a group of individuals who are in the process of learning to express themselves verbally will cause them to express themselves in other ways.

Dear senators: Be careful of what you think you are doing with the budget. I know that this is not the only area of debate that you have dealt with. Don't mess with something that you do not have the experience to manipulate.
