Rejection of gay group's funds not a Christian action

Editor,

I was reading the Opinion page Monday morning and ran across a comment about a Channel 4 (KOB-TV) news broadcast. It seems odd to me that an organization would reject money from someone when its people are starving. I, for one, know personally the benefits that this local gay group has provided for different organizations in New Mexico.

I belong to a church that has a food bank for people in need, and it has received donations from this group. We are deeply thankful. The group provides this money from its hard work and talent and from its sweat, tears and love. I hope they continue to help.

As far as Jeremy Reynalds and his "Christian" ideal, he made his choices and there is nothing we can do about that. But, I would like to ask Jeremy Reynalds to remember one thing: We are all created in the image of whatever god(s) we believe in.

In God's eyes, everyone is loved, regardless of what we become. God does not make imperfect people, humanity does.
