The Hellman, GoMotorCar, The Volts and Dead On Point Five will play a hard-rocking show at Sprockets Pub, 2216 Central Ave. S.E., Friday at 10 p.m.


Gooding and Felonious Groove Foundation will perform Friday at 8:30 p.m. at Paramount Theatre’s Bar B in Santa Fe at 331 Sandoval St. Tickets cost $5 at the door, and it is a 21-and-over event.


The Mine Shaft Tavern in Madrid, N.M., presents flautist Danny Wilding and his “I Wanna Stay in the USA” benefit concert Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Featured performers include Malaix, George Koumantares, Rick Hale, Jerry Carthy and Peter Amahl, among others. For more information, call (505) 473-0743.


UNM senior Lucas Laeser is exhibiting his honor’s thesis show, “thingamajig,” at the John Sommers Gallery, which is on the second floor of the Fine Arts Building. Laeser uses plaster to create cast relief panels, which use objects of mass-produced consumer culture, and are arranged to make larger forms that resemble hand-held weapons and tools. The free exhibit is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday until May 4.


Shanghai Testarossa and Berkeley, Calif., band Actionslacks will play the Launchpad Monday at 9:30 p.m. Cover is $4, and it is a 21-and-over event.
