Editor,
I’m writing to applaud you for the fraternity rape story you ran in the July 12-18 Daily Lobo.
I do believe that fraternities and fraternity parties are trouble and something should be done about them, but I also think that a woman should have sense enough to avoid such parties.
Rape is not the fault of the victim, but I’m sure the way the victim prostituted herself didn’t help matters any.
Common logic and a little decency could have helped her out quite a bit.
Some of the women who have written in about this story previouly seem to think that everyone else should be responsible so they don’t have to be. Simply using some common sense and avoiding questionable places would be a much more effective and realistic solution.

Everyone needs to be responsible for his or her own actions, that includes rapists and women who take money in exchange for performing sex acts at fraternity bachelor parties.
Keep up the good work and try not to let the insane feminists bother you.
