Anyone interested in a chance to run down the ramp at The Pit, with 18,018 fans screaming their lungs out in excitement for you and your fellow Lobo teammates can try and reach that goal in about two weeks.

The UNM men's basketball team hold walk-on tryouts on Sept. 21 at 3:30 p.m. in The Pit.

All interested parties must be a UNM student, have a current physical, have proof of insurance coverage and be academically eligible.

The UNM volleyball team hits the road to California for its next four games this week as it plays some of the top teams in the nation.

The Lobos started the season 2-1 at home after getting to the championship game of the Comcast Invitational Tournament this past weekend, losing to the 32nd ranked University of Northern Iowa.

The competition only gets tougher as the Lobos face the number three-ranked team in the country, Long Beach State University, today.

The 49ers are coming off a victory against the top-ranked team in the country, the University of Nebraska, 3-1 to end the Cornhuskers 36-game winning streak. UNM is 0-6 all-time versus Long Beach State.

Then the Lobos will participate in the Loyola Marymount Invitational Tournament Friday and Saturday.

The Lobos will take on Arizona State University (1-3) Friday and have two games Saturday.

UNM and No. 24 LMU (2-1) will battle in the afternoon. UNM will then take on Indiana University (1-2) in the evening match.
