Editor,
I opened the Lobo this morning to find it full of letters from angry and disturbed students protesting the Justice for All exhibit. Words like "distasteful," "negative," "nauseating" and "hypocritical" were used liberally to describe the exhibit.
I couldn't help but smile in the face of this grave issue. These people found these pictures distasteful? Perhaps they should stop focusing on the pictures and begin to focus on the issue.
Let us use logic here. If the pictures of the aborted fetuses are distasteful, then abortion is distasteful. Why then, would they want to support so ardently a practice that by their own admission is distasteful. Are the pictures nauseating? Then abortion is nauseating. Are the pictures negative? Then abortion is negative. It seems the messenger is being shot here, instead of the message. I can't help but wonder, who is being hypocritical?
