Editor,
God forbid that someone is held accountable for what they do. I am sick and tired of people abusing the Constitution in order to protect themselves for doing something stupid.
With free speech comes a certain amount of responsibility. Apparently the Florida students didn't understand that. They abused their privilege, much as the Daily Liberal at UNM does.
I for one am tired of you all claiming to be "the voice of the student." Most students at UNM wrote better papers in grade school than your reporters and columnists write now. What a joke your paper is.
Until you try and set some ethical standards for what your paper should look like, you will continue to inspire the ire of many students.
I for one am going to find out where you get your funding. Perhaps you would be more responsible in your publishing if you had to earn your funding instead of having it handed to you.

I definitely don't want my already high student fees and tuition going to support a paper that prints columns that are as thoughtful as a flaming turd.
