Editor,
It is quite disturbing to find out that the president of the United States of America knowingly manipulated the American people into believing Saddam Hussein was a nuclear threat to us and to the world (New York Times, July 7, 2003.) Using The State of The Union Address as a soapbox, President George Walker Bush, looked into the eyes of the world, and spread fear and lies. These lies and manipulations have caused the deaths of hundreds of American servicemen and women.
"America's Finest," the President declared, and then, sent them to their deaths. These lies and manipulations have caused thousands of deaths in Iraq, mainly, to innocent civilians. These lies and manipulations have been given the ole' Washington spin and disregarded by those in charge, stating the Iraqi people are better off without a brutal dictator in charge: Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Where is the outrage of the American people? This was not some mere, superfluous act of dropping ones pants; it was an outright deceit of the American people, and of the world. It was an act, which is still being paid for in American and Iraqi blood. If there was ever a need for the American people to ask questions, it is now.
All true and patriotic Americans should contact their senators and congressmen, and demand an investigation of what the President knew, and when.
