(Daily Lobo) - The body of a Hispanic man in his mid-40s was found on campus Tuesday.
UNM police received the call around 2 p.m.
Cmdr. James Daniels of the UNM Police Department said the death was unattended, meaning no one was there to witness the death.
There was no identification on the man.
Daniels said the investigation is in its preliminary stages, until the Office of the Medical Investigator determines what happened.
"People are speculating," he said. "They shouldn't speculate without the facts."
He said he was unsure when the medical investigations office would have results from an autopsy.
