Editor,
My wife suffers from chronic pain, so when I opened the online article "Assisting people in pain" in the Thursday edition of the Daily Lobo with some anticipation of finding something that would help her - I was actually hoping to send her the article.
For what I hope are obvious reasons, I will not be doing that, because instead of an article that talks about pain alleviation, I found an article about a woman who counsels people in "safe suicide" - an oxymoron if ever there was one.
You have every right to publish the article, and choosing a sympathetic slant is clearly your prerogative, but please do a better job on your headlines. How about "Safe suicide for pain sufferers," for example?
