The UNM volleyball team's road trip wasn't a journey through Candy Land.
After falling to San Diego State University in three straight games on Friday, the Lobos got swept by the University of Nevada-Las Vegas on Saturday in Las Vegas.
The losses put the Lobos' overall record at 12-9, as they fell to 4-7 in the Mountain West Conference.
Friday against the Aztecs, the Lobos lost a tough first game by a score of 30-28. It was a back-and-forth game, featuring 14 lead changes and 14 ties.

Game two was not as close, as San Diego State rolled to a 30-13 victory. The Aztecs kept the momentum going in their favor in game three, as they clinched the set with a 30-17 win.
Freshman Michelle Miller and junior Kelly Therkelsen led the team in kills with seven each. Both recorded a block.
Senior Chelsea Sondrup performed well, posting four blocks and 12 assists. Sondrup kept game one close, chipping in two of her blocks in that contest.
With the victory, SDSU improved to 13-9 overall and 5-4 in the MWC.
Saturday the team had chances to win some games, but could not manage to defeat the Runnin' Rebels.
In game one, the Lobos held a 15-7 lead, before UNLV battled back to tie the game at 18. It was a struggle for the rest of game one, and UNM came up just short, losing 30-28 again.
In game two, the Lobos kept it close, closing to within 18-16 at one point. UNLV went on a 12-6 run however, to win 30-22.
With the match all but over, UNM clawed to within two at 26-24, before falling 30-24 in the last game.
Miller led the team with 12 kills and added a block and four digs for the match. Sondrup had nine kills and three blocks against UNLV.
Freshman Sarah Kwasigroch added 30 assists, seven digs and three blocks.
The Lobos will return home to host Texas Christian University on Nov. 4. The match will be the last MWC opponent that UNM will face at home.
That date will be senior night, and Sondrup and Nicole Ryan will be honored.
