Editor,
In last Monday's article in the Daily Lobo about the march for the petroglyphs, my opinion was placed in half of the article, and it sounded as if I was leading the show.
I would just like to note that it was 10 people, including myself, from the native student organizations such as the Kiva Club, Native American Studies Indigenous Research Group and American Indian Business Association.
I feel flattered that my name was thrown in there, yet at the same time I feel that these other people should be acknowledged and we as a unit should have been referred to by the clubs and organizations we were marching for.
If anything, I feel that the wonderful people of Sage Council should have had the show because the whole event was because of their great efforts. I also would like to include that "Pueblo" was not written correctly multiple times, and that there were students at the Symposium for Indigenous People, like my good friends of NASIRG.
I feel that you guys down at the paper are doing a good job, yet I do feel that you overlooked several matters that would have put better light on the topics at hand.
