Watching Duke dominate college basketball every single season is like eating the same slice of cafeteria pizza everyday for three years.
The Blue Devils came into this season ranked No. 1 in the nation, a feeling that makes me sick to my stomach. It reminds me of about seven years ago when I ate so many cocktail shrimp that now I can't eat one even if somebody paid me.
Don't get me wrong - watching a dynasty can be fun and actually tastes good for a while. But look at the New England Patriots. Even they went away this year before their run became completely stale.

Duke's most hated rival, the University of North Carolina, also has the right recipe. The Tar Heels dominated last season, but with all their star players headed to the NBA, they leave you wanting more.
Not Duke. The most greedy school in NCAA basketball always has to have the spotlight.
So what is the cure to get that sour taste out of your mouth? Well, what could be sweeter than watching the most hyped team in the nation take an early exit during the tournament?
I realize Duke (7-0) has started fast this season, but the team barely escaped unranked Virginia Tech with a miracle shot at the buzzer. On Dec. 12, Duke must travel to Texas to take on the No. 2 Longhorns, which will be a true test.
Really though, all that matters is the playoffs. So who is going to do the huge favor of knocking the Blue Devils out of the NCAA Tournament this season?
Look no further than Las Cruces, N.M., as the Aggies pull off the upset of the millennium.
Just kidding. Now that I have your attention, let's talk about who will really win the NCAA tourney in 2006.
There are only a few teams - including Texas - that have a legitimate shot of upsetting No. 1 Duke during the March Madness craze.
I, like many, have been on the bandwagon of No. 9 Gonzaga the past few years. The Bulldogs (4-2) came into the season ranked in the top 10, a contrast to their usual underdog style.
Still, they have a great chance to be in upset mode if they run into the Blue Dorks during the tourney. I mean who wouldn't enjoy watching a perennial small fry ruin the season of the biggest fish in the sea?
Whether it is Gonzaga, somebody needs to cook Duke before that dish goes bad permanently.
