DL: What do you expect to accomplish during your time on the board?

JC: There are a number of critical issues which I would like to accomplish. For example, funding for engineering and computer science research, undergraduate scholarships and, most importantly, to keep up with the changes. Since engineering is such a modern technological field which is always changing, it is necessary to keep up with the changes.

DL: What do you like most about UNM?

JC: That would have to be the diversification in terms of the student body. It is very enjoyable to work at a school where there is such collaboration with all of the departments. Also with the athletic departments, we have done lots of association with athletics and the school of engineering.

DL: What do you dislike about UNM?

JC: Honestly, nothing. It is really nice to be here.

DL: Do you have any advice for students?

JC: Just to make the most of all of your educational opportunities here at UNM. Education is the key to success.
