"Yes, I do, on the same fields - lasers and fiber optics, fiber lasers and optoelectronic devices used for telecommunications and medical applications."
Where are you from?
"Originally, I am from India. I came to California. I have been living here (United States) 40 years, because it seemed a very good place to teach, and I like Albuquerque. I like the area."
How long have you been living in Albuquerque?
"Fifteen years."
Do you have family?
"Married with kids. One of them is at Berkeley, and one is at middle school."
What are some advantages of Albuquerque compared to other places you have lived?
"The weather here is wonderful, and lack of crowds, the mountains, the hiking and the skiing. My favorite is Taos. I go quite often to Sandia Peak."
